For example, if you are a web design company who performs SEO services, it would be wise to follow people who focus on web design, web marketing, and SEO services. This will help align your business with the right set of people and will set you up for success. Always focus on quality, never quantity.
#2: Always Write Or Produce Effective Messages That Those You Are Following Will Want to Retweet
One of the keys to success on Twitter is for your followers to retweet your messages as this is an effective way for your messages to get across to hundreds, if not thousands of people. It is never enough just to write every week. You need to produce effective messages that will generate interest among your followers and that they will want to pay attention to. This might involve writing effective and powerful articles every week that your followers might believe is worth retweeting or introducing a new point of view or topic that might generate discussion among your followers. It's very important to understand that not every message or article that you write will get retweeted, so you need to be patient and keep at it.
