This article is the first of a series of articles which will help you boost your social media marketing. You can benefit by posting your bookmarks to a social bookmarking service.
Do you need to; Create new targeted traffic to your website, blog or optin page?; Create more chances for your site to appear in the search results of major search engines?; Create the chances of viral traffic?
Of course you do. These can be the benefits to you of social bookmarking. Importantly the submission process can be automated so saving you lots of time.
A social bookmarking service is a centralised online service which enables users to add, edit and share bookmarks of the website pages which they like. You can use your bookmarks easily from any location using any computer which is connected to the internet.
Being listed on sites like Digg and Delicious can drive new traffic to your website. Incidentally Delicious popularised the terms "social bookmarking" and "tagging." These sites offer the best type of visitor. People who reach your site from such a social bookmarking site are generally there because your website appeared in a search for topics they were interested in.
Search engines will often list results from bookmarking sites. So if your site is bookmarked, this is an extra opportunity to show up in search results.
Being featured on one bookmarking site can often lead to people tagging your site on other bookmarking sites so you have the possibility of viral traffic.
The top 5 bookmarking sites in terms of unique monthly visitors are Reddit, StumbleUpon, Delicious, Digg and Slashdot. But there are many more. Search Engine Journal has put together a list of 125 social bookmarking sites, some of which are very popular and others which are newer or somewhat unheard of.
Besides targeting the major social bookmarking sites, you will find some diamonds in the rough which are niche oriented or treated well by Google and other search engines.
To get your share of the wealth which social bookmarking offers, you should leave your bookmarks in multiple sites. This might seem a daunting task but it can be automated with appropriate software such as IMAutomator.
This social bookmarking software allows you to build links in just moments. IMAutomator operates using Submission Credits. Every site in the system has a credit cost equal to its PageRank so a PR1 site costs 1 credit to submit to, a PR4 site costs 4 credits and so on. When you submit a job you choose exactly which sites you want to submit to and thus control exactly how many credits you are spending on each one. If you're just starting out the best option is the free trial then you buy credits as you need them.
You'll be surprised how easy the submission process really is. Once you've completed your details and submitted the job, you'll have access to a submission schedule, for each job.
The default rate for link submission is one per day, in order to avoid search engine penalties. My job comprised of 63 scheduled submissions and the cost of credits was about $6. The bookmarking site with the highest PageRank was Delicious. The remaining 62 sites had a PageRank ranging from 1-7.
So there you are then. Automated social bookmarking. The automation cost of $6 saved hours and hours of my time. Of the top 5 sites however, only Delicious was included in the submission schedule. So I'll have to do Reddit, StumbleUpon, Digg and Slashdot manually. Not such a daunting task considering the many long term benefits.

Now those who are conducting such research are no common man, they are professionals or investigators who have specialized in conducting the investigation effectively as well as efficiently. They spend their entire day in stress in their digital lab working on computers as it involves several legal procedures. Apart from this, one can discover several uses of this process ranging from checking out the system of a defendant especially when it comes to child pornography or if any files have been erased / altered to hard drive failures if someone has breached your system security and so on.
Further speaking about the career requirements of your professional: He must carry a basic Bachelor's degree, be it in the field of criminal justice, computer science, forensics or any other. How I Got Affiliates to Promote My Product

Expert Author Sean Mize
I could not build momentum. I was doing what I teach folks to do: get five sales on your first product, then you do another one next week and sell ten. You do another the next week and you sell fifteen, and that's a lot like how I started. In fact, that's how I started. But it wasn't working to try and break into this market.
Affiliates weren't promoting for me, and I had somebody tell me that affiliates don't promote until you have fifty or a hundred sales. So what am I going to do to get over this?
I needed a strategy to recruit affiliates in a big marketplace like the Warrior Forum, ClickBank, JVZoo, etc. I was using the Warrior Forum...
The light bulb went off. What about solo ads? Instead of sending my solo ads to an opt-in form, or instead of sending them to some "Thank-You" page, I can immediately get the subscriber if I send them to the WSO (Warrior Special Offer) page, and then I would just send them to whatever my current WSO was, and get fifteen, or twenty, or thirty sales, I found that was paying for my solo ads prices, not completely, but it was helping pay for it. Then with my back end it was paying for it.
This allows me to monetize my solo ad leads, and so I was just buying solo ads left and right, sending them to a WSO (it didn't even have to be my current one - it might be the top performing one). Send it to a WSO, get as many buyers as possible, put them into my twenty-one day conversion campaign, where people were spending like $18 - $20 within twenty days in the conversion campaign, by enrolling in coaching, prepaying some things, just various things that were in the integrated conversion campaign that I put together. It was really a phenomenal thing.
Now you're thinking "Why are you telling me all of this?" I want you to see the WHY behind it. Because, one of the things that happens in your business, you may find, is that you hit obstacles, and you just don't know what to do.
I hit an obstacle and solo ads weren't performing as well, so I decided I'd stop those. Then I saw the opportunity on the Warrior Forum and I put them together like I described above. Then I ran into another obstacle!
Solo ad providers stopped being willing to sell me ads that just went to the WSO forum because they weren't getting as many clicks. Then, if they don't get as many clicks, they don't make as much money. So, the bottom line was I had a harder and harder time finding ways to do that, but! but! by now, I had hundreds of WSO buyers, that I had gotten through these solo ads, now if I launched a WSO, I could send it out, send it only the buyers that had bought from me before, that way I would keep my conversion rate really high. And then people would buy, and I'd get my fifty, or a hundred sales, and then affiliates started noticing, and started promoting for me.
And, what would happen was most of the time you would get like ten affiliates, they'd each do like five sales, and honestly, it's pretty discouraging. Pretty discouraging, I remember how discouraging it was.
How am I ever going to scale? People are either sending out a test e-mail, or all these people had really small e-mail lists, and, I think there's a mix of both. But, then, the big break happened.
Some of those affiliates, when they bought my product, they would study it themselves, and then they realized that I had really good training, and then when they promoted it to their list, they would tell the people that it was really good training, they would want to promote for me, they would start promoting for me on the first day instead of waiting until there were fifty or a hundred sales. Why? Not because of anything special at the Warrior Forum, not because of any hot copy, I don't write hot copy, I write copy that gets the job done.
But people were choosing to promote for me because they liked me!
Because I offered phenomenal training. And I think that that's something that motivated me, and said this is something that is very, very, very interesting. And then what happened was you know a few affiliates that really could pull a hundred or two-hundred sales, they started promoting for me. And then they would even send me e-mails that would say, "hey, when you're going to launch something, let me know I'd like to promote for you." Sight unseen, why? Because of the quality of the product, and so what do I leave you with when I say this. Your product's got to be great. It's got to have high quality.

The Online Arbitrage Case Study: How Trendelier Increased AdSense Earnings by 217%

Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article
There are so many ways to increase your Google AdSense earnings. Our very ambitious aim is to cover every which optimization possible under the bright shiny light of the Google logo. But, with all the different ways to increase your AdSense earnings, we still love talking about ourselves the most.
And our favorite thing to talk about is how AdSense publishers can use our testing platform to increase earnings.
The below is a short version of a case study on how we were able to leverage the our testing platform to increase Trendelier.com's, one of the largest entertainment news websites, AdSense RPM by 217% in 5 weeks.
Who's Trendeleier.com?
Trendeleier.com is a classic online arbitrage website.
As a website that makes 100% of it's revenue from advertising, Trendelier relies heavily on the success of its monetization channels. One of the main sources of revenue for Trendelier is Google AdSense.
For a while, the website's AdSense earnings had hit a wall. Their teams spends a great deal of time sourcing, creating, and curating their content with truly awesome results: Millions of people visit their website a month, their content goes viral constantly, and their engagement metrics are... impressive, most impressive.
With so much going on the content front they have very little time and manpower to fully optimize their ad networks and maximize their ad earnings.
Trendelier's account manager quickly set up different ad layouts to maximize their Google AdSense CTR:
What experiments did Trendelier run?
Mobile Experiment
The first version they created targeted a popular article that sees a considerable amount of mobile traffic. The variation consisted of only 2 ad units.
Why only 2 ad units you ask? Why not use the maximum?
Because a page viewed is a page viewed. If you didn't see a click on the first two ads displayed on the page, you are not very likely to see a click on the third ad displayed... Go ahead, test this out.
Hypothesis: Two ads can generate more revenue than three ads.
Variation 1: 2 ad unit layout
This variation displayed 2 Google AdSense ads. The first was placed under the title while the second was placed just above the navigation buttons.
This variation saw an overall click-through rate of 2.67%
Variation 2: 3 ad units layout
If the first variation displayed two ads, then you guessed it, the second displayed three ads.
The first ad was located above the title with a second ad just below it. The final ad was placed just above the navigation buttons as with the first variation.
This variation saw an overall click-through rate of 2.08%
Results
Overall, variation 1 increased CTR by 28% over variation 2. This increase in CTR led to an increase in RPM of 44% The control received almost no traffic during the experiments.
Desktop Experiment
Once again, this experiment is designed to test a certain hypothesis. One that has become commonplace with most online publishers.
Hypothesis: In-content ads perform better
The whole premise of banner blindness and native advertising is really based on the notion that readers are blind to ads located outside the content vertical and they have trained their eyes to see only the content vertical of the page.
Variation 1 - Side Bar Ad Unit
The first variation consists of two in-content ad units with one ad unit in the side-bar.
The side bar ad unit was placed outside this vertical and as part of a sidebar that displays links and ads to other content pieces. For the purpose of this screenshot, we have disabled all other advertisers, which is why you see "advertisement" instead of the other ads being displayed but trust us, they're there.
This variation saw an overall CTR of 2.56%
Variation 2 - In-Feed Heavy
So if the first variation displayed 2 ads in-content and one ad in the sidebar then this one, you guessed it, displays all three AdSense ads within the content section, or feed, of the page.
Native advertising owes a lot of its success to its content like features. 53% of consumers look at native ads more frequently than at display ads. One of the reasons is undoubtedly due to its location within the content feed.
However, in reality, this variation provided a 1.75% CTR overall.
Results
There's a lot of research out there that will tell you that your visitors see you native ads more than banner ads. That may all be fine and true. What you should be asking yourself, though, is do they click on them more?
Judging by the Trendelier experiments above the answer is no. The "native style" in-feed ad layout did not receive a higher click-through rate than the classical layout.
Actually, the classical layout beat the "native layout" by a surprising 46%, which generated a whopping 68% increase in RPM.
But what does this all mean?
Let's face it, most buzz news websites monetize their traffic with CPC networks, and when your website has a strong ROI focus click-through rates that are even a fraction higher can make a significant impact on your bottom line.
That's why it's important that you take away the following two suggestions:
  1. A page view is a page viewed. Using our system you can deliver the ad with the highest CTR first on the page and if that ad doesn't convert a click through then the other ads on the page are not likely to either. This unique capability lets our users display less ads on the page and get a higher overall CTR and RPM for the page.
  2. In-feed means more eyeballs not more click-throughs. Ads located within the content feed are more likely to be noticed but not necessarily more clicks.
Do you think your website is different? Start using the tips above and see what results you get then come back here and show us how wrong (erase) right we were.
